This stunning home was featured in the 2010 Austin Parade of Homes and showcases the classic Prairie design style. The modern home design Austin project was inspired by the challenge of working with a narrow lot and limited views. Despite these challenges, multiple gathering spaces were created throughout the house, including a front courtyard, a main living space that overlooks the backyard, and a game room with a beautiful lake view. One of the standout features is the courtyard which opens up to additional spaces such as the study and guest suite.

The innovative design also included a pioneering concept for a shower/tub spa bath for its time. The crescent kitchen was designed to bring all of the dining spaces together and create a culinary feel throughout the home. The home was designed to accommodate a growing family with school-age children, with the intention of transitioning into a home for empty nesters who frequently entertain guests.

The material inspiration for the home comes from traditional Hill Country ranch homes, using local natural sandstone and rustic hand-hewn beams that continue seamlessly from the exterior to the interior of the home, creating a cohesive and stunning aesthetic.
